Generational Differences in Parenting

16 Feb

This post is an ongoing thought process, which I began earlier this week– The definitive difference in parenting, this generation to the next?

It is not philosophy… that is rarely discussed. There doesn’t seem to be any new significant difference in the religions around the world and the political environment is still swirling around the same hole it has always been. Understanding and consciousness has not changed that much nor has the desire for comfort and financial security. All of our conventional life functions and desires for such are much the same. So what, then, has changed?

Although our civilization is still evolving and undergoing small incremental experiences that continuously drive many functional changes, most of what we do with regard to our families and friendships is very much like it has been for generations. We are all trying to fit in and contribute. Pretty nice, actually.
